After a significant period of development and testing, we're pleased to announce that the Bacteria B1 is now ready to order. Whilst we're extremely proud of each and every bait we put out to our customers, we have to say the Bacteria B1 is very special and people have been biting our hands off to try and get hold of it - thanks in no small part to the results the lads have been having during final testing - so it's great to finally get it out there. People often talk about new baits being, fresh and innovative, but to be honest, in most cases they're just a tweak on a tweak, however, with the Bacteria B1 we can honestly say it's unique; both in the way it works and the way in which it's put together - you can read the full story about its long term development HERE.

The Bacteria B1 adds further strength to the already impressive range of high quality carp baits available from SAE Bait Developments, all of which are proven fish takers with long term appeal. With baits rolled fresh to order each week from their Cheadle premises, you can be assured of a quality service and a quality product.

Just a quick update to let you know that the Mag 7 fresh rolled freezer-bait is now back and available to order… at un unbeatable £6.00 per kilo!

The Mag 7 has caught a staggering amount of carp over the years; however we were forced to withdraw it for a time last year after one of our suppliers raised ingredient costs to an unsustainable level. After months of painstaking work we can happily announce we have a new supplier in place, and not only that, by tying up a long term supply in greater volume, we’ve actually been able to bring down the ingredient costs massively - a total win-win situation as the newly sourced ingredients are even better quality - the bait is now 100% human grade bar the Nigerseed!

The good news is that we’re passing this saving on in full to our customers, meaning you can now get your hands on the new and improved Mag 7 for an unbeatable £6.00 per kilo! A price we’re sure you’ll agree is a total steal for such a quality bait.

Get your orders in now!

First up, can I wish all our customers past and present a Happy new Year, Despite the cold weather we’ve been hearing about quite a few fish coming to the bank on our baits over the festive period so we’ll be adding more images to the gallery shortly.

Carping new comer Gaz Bins was keen to get amongst some winter carp and finally managed a brace of fish resulting in a new pb common of 11.8...Crab n Oyster was the bait of choice for the Stoke angler...Well done mate, keep’em coming now...

Tommy ‘the machine gun’ Clarke, managed a scale perfect common from the Derbyshire pit, Bacteria B1s again for the Stoke rod...

Liverpool’s Tony Cope was again producing the goods first time on his new target water The big Cheshire pit; Bacteria B1’s tripping up a chunky 27lb mirror...Nice start mate well done...

Two sessions over the new year produced on both occasions for Biddulph angler Paul Hammond, a  nice scaley fish on the first visit to the Scuds and on the second visit to his target venue, a bit of stealth tactics in the dark and a few scatterings of the Bacteria B1s saw him land two dark character mirrors to 23lb, nice winter brace that mate well done...

On to a bit of product news. Whilst we know many of you can’t wait to get your hands on the new Bacteria range of baits due for release in the Spring, we’re happy to announce the return of the awesome Mag 7 to our freezer bait range; a bait that has caught a staggering amount of carp over the years. We decided to withdraw the bait for a time last year as we were unable to keep the cost of down due to the price rise in certain raw ingredients. However, after months of hard work we can happily announce we have now tied up a deal with a new specialist ingredient supplier to source the ingredients that were causing us problems. The new supply is a win-win situation as the improved quality of ingredients means that not only will the Mag 7 now be 100% human grade, but as we’ve committed to bulk orders, we’ve actually been able to get the ingredients at a cheaper cost – a saving which we fully intend to pass onto our customers throughout 2012 – offering a quality bait at an affordable price.

We will also be producing our own range of prepared particle baits this year for UK and European trips, and will also be producing some ‘under the counter’ specials and combinations... Full prices will be available soon.

Good luck in your carping endeavours for 2012!

Shropshire’s Ian Clorley has been on top form again fishing his target venue, after his last run of lumps he’s been in touch to tell me of more commons of 27lb and 26.5, along with mirrors of 22.4, 21.14 and last but not least, 17.3... Crab & Oyster doing the business again. Well done mate and keep’em coming... (pictures now added to gallery).

Tony cope was on form again on his tricky Cheshire target water; a brace of dark mirrors falling to the Bacteria B1s and scuds combinations, nice work....

Rob Fonad took the chance to get the bobbins moving after a bit of mental torture of late on the syndicate (sorry mate couldn’t resist) he took young Scott along and duly got amongst some cracking fish of the future from Whiston Hall - Crab & Oyster taking the fish, well done mate, see you back on the syndi soon...

Biddulph’s Paul Hammond continues to catch fish whenever he’s out at the minute, an old Character leather being the latest; Bacteria B1s as always doing the damage for the Stoke rod...

Cheshire’s Steve Smith has also been in touch to let me know how he’s been fairing on his target winter water, with 5 fish in 5 visits to report up to now on the Bacteria B1 and scud combinations, so it’s all good, well done mate...

Andy Weston has also sent me an email about results on his tricky Cheshire water, another dark mirror and another one for the shadow, Bacteria B1s again doing the business in cold conditions....

I managed to sneak another fish out myself from the syndicate, not the biggest but very welcome as this fish has been on the missing list for 16yrs, so it certainly put a smile on my face!

That’s it for now, if we don’t update the blog again before the 25th, it just remains for me to wish all our customers past and present a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Many thanks for you custom and continued support during 2011, and we look forward to offering you the same quality service into 2012.

Shropshire’s Ian Clorley has been in fine form again with a shed load of lumps on the ever successful Crab & Oyster with a run of fish weighing in at 21.14, 17.4, 24.7, 25.9, and topped with a cracking 32.1 common - big well done mate keep at’em!

Ad Clewes was on the phone to tell me of his latest lump in the shape of a 36.12 common from a low stock Cheshire mere; the Bacteria B1 coming up trumps again - awesome fish mate well done...

S.A.E bait tester Tony Cope’s run of fish continues from various waters, not the biggest fish of late but all welcome in some testing conditions.. Bacteria B1’s and scud combinations working well for the Liverpool angler....

SAE Boss Scott Eyre has also managed a couple more fish of late on the odd occasion he has managed to get out. Not the biggest fish but very welcome with limited time and cold temperatures.... Scott’s very pleased with the amount of fish the bacteria has been throwing up (strangely a lot of commons) it’s taken a lot of time and effort to get this bait right and Scott says it’s about time there was something out there that’s totally fresh and different - not just old themes re-tweaked....roll on spring!

Just got back from a top 4 day session at Orchid Lakes. We got there Thursday morning to find a relatively quiet lake. We decided on the Middles & New Middles as we knew from the catch reports
